• American Heart Association Averts Making a Bad Situation Worse

Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez was on KFI this afternoon, this time The John and Ken Show. It was in response to a tweet she'd sent out.

She had been slated to attend an event in Wildomar, but when it was learned that she had attended President Trump's inauguration, she was "uninvited".

There was a Twitter tempest in a teapot for a short time, where people showed their dismay for the situation and support for the assemblywoman. There were a smattering of MM haters too, but they had nothing past name calling to add.

Before it got straightened out, ol' W'Rap had to throw in two cents on twitter.

She was on the radio twice in 30 minutes. The first time, around 4:25pm, discussing what went down.

Visit the KFI page to get the full audio from both of her radio visits. Scroll down the page until you see them.

Today her office received a call from the American Heart Association uninviting her because of the "current political climate."

The American Heart Association referenced an article from the Press Enterprise about her and her family attending Trump's inauguration.

From the KFI website.

Then at about 4:55pm she was on again. This time discussing the American Heart Association's abrupt reversal, and she being re-invited, errr... or I should say the "Miscommunication" was cleared up.

"About two minutes after I got finished speaking to the two of you, we got a call from the American Heart Association, to tell us that there was a miscommunication ((at this point John and Ken burst out laughing)) and of course I was invited to come and speak tomorrow.

I'm happy that they are going to allow me to come and speak because, apparently, they recognize that heart disease doesn't discriminate based on political parties."

I think it's fair to say that we are sick and tired of the politics being forced into everything.

Imagine telling a well respected elected official that she wasn't welcome to a non profit event in her district, after inviting her in the first place, because of political differences.

The world has gone mad, and though both sides take turns driving the crazy train, the liberals are the ones making fools of themselves this go round.

If you'd like to attend, it's tomorrow at the Corporate Room.
