• VFW Honors Graduating Volunteers

As has been the new custom in celebrating 2020 high school grads, Mia Rosemier and Nic(k) Nazarowski, of Elsinore High School, were honored by family and friends with a drive by parade. Key among them were members of VFW Post 1508.
Mia and Nick... Say, "Cheeeeese".

Mia and Nic have been volunteering at the VFW, and with Caring Hearts, since they were about eleven years old. That includes helping out on steak nights, special events and the yearly Christmas baskets program.
Festively arrayed for the occasion.
Mia was part of the EHS Tennis team for four years, track for two years and softball for two years. Nic was part of AFJROTC and both have high GPAs.
Perhaps part of the next generation of volunteers at the VFW? 😇
Mia cited the renowned VFW steak night dinners, and the "fun" clean up afterwards as key memories. She'll be going to the Paul Mitchell cosmetology school in Temecula.

In addition to the steak dinners, Nic added the VFW events for St. Paddy's day and July 4th as key memories. He'll be studying at Palomar for two years, then transferring to a four year to earn his degree so that he can teach English in Japan.

The early morning staging at the VFW. There was a bit of controversy whether Nic(k) spelled his name with a K in it or not. I still am not to sure of it. lol
Much success to both of these outstanding graduates. There are so many great stories out there, and I'm glad to have been able to share this one with you today.

Every day we should hear at least one little song, read one good poem, see one exquisite picture, and, if possible, speak a few sensible words.

– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Wildomar Rap is still searching for that "one good poem". They seem to be as rare as a live haggis or chupacabra.
