• Various and Sundry Things Vol 3

Three items that made the cut for this volume.

You may have seen that Taco Bell is finally opened.
It's official. Come and get your enchiritos now.
While there I poked my nose into all the open doors and many of the businesses are ready to open, but are waiting on inspections; be it from the health department, fire department, etc.

• Country Kitchen said they should be open by the end of next week.
• Angelo's is hoping to be opened in two weeks or less.
• Jersey Mike's mentioned between the 11th and the 18th.
• The Habit said about two more weeks.
The other places were either locked up or obviously months away from opening.

When I was at Taco Bell no one was ordering inside, but the drive-thru was 6 cars deep at 3:30pm on a Friday. Is it really that big of a deal to park the car and go inside?

New Signage at City Hall

Though we are still renters in that building, clearly marked signage has been added to the front and the back of the building.

The project was designed and coordinated by Cameron Luna. The signs were installed by Signs by Tomorrow out of Murrieta.
As the installer was finishing up.

What it looks like from about 30 feet up.
If you're ever going to attend a city council meeting or planning commission meeting,
it'll be through these doors located in the rear parking area.
For those that have never had need to visit the offices at city hall,
this is what the outer doors look like. Located on the second floor.
I asked Cameron for some thoughts on the project.

To further help our citizens, The city has also added it’s “W enclosed in the circle” on the door signs in the building for the suites that belong to City Hall.
The city seal is now on the window in the door
to the community room. Located upstairs.
For the community rooms like the council chambers and E.O.C., several exterior door windows and hallway windows also now have the Seal of Wildomar on them. The main lobby directory has also been updated to reflect these changes.

City staffer Cameron Luna stands near the new directory on the first floor.
Lastly, the city has also restored the Wildomar Cemetery signage on the main entrance.

The entire project design phase began this summer and was finished by September.

The reception on the signage from the community has been great as it is much easier for the public to find City Hall and participate in activities like afternoon council meetings and planning commission meetings.

Wildomar's most notorious eyesore is finally gone... no, not the Brown House, but the Graffiti House that overlooked the 15 freeway.

It was something the city was trying to accomplish for the longest time. In the end, the delinquent property owner sold the property, and the new owner flattened it.

No time table on when the Brown House will be gone. From what was discussed at various city meetings last year, it should already be gone and that field graded for the Baxter Village project. I'm learning that a lot what gets stated at city meetings (at least when it comes to development) is rather flexible in real life.

Wildomar Rap equals reality divided by opinion, multiplied by a raised eyebrow, covered in chocolate frosting.
