• Measure Z Oversight Advisory Committee Vacancies

If you've thought about participating in the running of the city, but didn't know where to start, the Measure Z Committee is a good entry level position. You can be as young as 18 years of age.
Looking to give back to your community?

We are in need of two Wildomar residents to volunteer for the Measure Z Oversight Committee.

MEASURE Z OVERSIGHT ADVISORY COMMITTEE VACANCIES

Two unexpired terms of office vacancies have been created on the Measure Z Oversight Advisory Committee.

The Committee is comprised of five members and serves at the pleasure of the City Council. The City Council appoints all members to the Committee. These vacancies will be to an unexpired term of Office ending February,
2018. Applicants can be from anywhere in the City limits (at-large).

Committee meetings are held on the fourth Thursday, at 6:30 p.m., in the months of February, May, August, and November.

All Committee members serve with no compensation.

If you are interested in applying, please complete the application which can be picked up at City Hall, 23873 Clinton Keith Road, Suite 201, Wildomar; Call 951/677-7751 and an application will be sent to you; or download it from the City’s website at
All applications must be returned to the City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., on Monday, October 2, 2017.
There are only four meetings a year, and very little actual responsibility. You'll be asked to read over the expenditures pertaining to the maintenance of the parks in Wildomar, and also do a yearly assessment of them too.

Wildomar Rap thinks that 'well done' is better than overdone, but not as good as medium rare.

  1. Interesting how the city is using social media weeks into the vacancy period which started on September 8th but the city website still list a vacancy for this committee from 2016 and 2015 on the parks website.
Its also interesting how you belittle the responsibility this job entails which is to advise the City Council regarding the collection and expenditure of tax revenues collected under Measure Z.

    1. The city's website has long been from the stone age and there isn't any city social media presence at this point in time (which is inexcusable in my view, though I've heard people try and explain why a free facebook page would cost us money). The story is that the long promised new website will be ready in October, and with that some type of social media presence. Problem is, I've been hearing that "the new website will be up and running shortly" since I wrote a blog about it back in March of 2016.

As for my belittling of the measure z committee and what it is they do, allow me to copy and paste my response from the Wildomar Rap facebook page where we already went over this.

If you need clarification, you can tell by the wages offered how valuable it is. We both know that you would NEVER apply for such a job, and you're one of the few in town that actually cares enough to put in the long hours necessary to go over the material. Why's that? Because you get more fulfillment out of doing your public comment shtick than you'd get from actually doing the work.

If the job was anything more than ceremonial, it would come with a contract and serious compensation.
